Add a day note or mark a public holiday
Leave a note on a day of the rota, such as a big booking or a delivery, and flag a day as a public holiday, on the web.
On this page
Each day of the rota can carry a short note and a public-holiday mark. Both belong to the day at that location, not to a shift. They are set on the web, in the Days view.
On the web
Go to Rota & team, then Rota
- Go to the week. If the rota is not in the Days view, choose it from the menu labelled View schedule by.
- Click the heading of the day, where its name and date are. A small box opens with the day, its weather forecast, and two things you can set.
- To leave a note, type under Day note and click anywhere outside the box. There is no save button: it is saved when you leave the box.
- To flag the day, switch on Public holiday. It says Marked as public holiday.
What happens next
- The note shows under the day’s heading on the rota, for everyone who builds it.
- On the phone, each person sees the note under that day on My shifts.
- A day marked as a public holiday is tinted on the rota, with a small mark by its name.
- To remove a note, clear the box. To unmark the day, switch Public holiday off. It says Public holiday cleared.
If it doesn’t work
- Clicking the day does nothing
- Day notes are in the Days view. In Areas, People and the other views the day headings do not open the box.
- “Couldn’t save the note”
- The note was not saved. Open the day again and retype it.
