Change a location’s icon and colour
Pick the icon and colour that mark a location everywhere its name is shown, so two sites are never mistaken for each other.
Every location has a mark: a small icon on a colour. It sits beside the location’s name in the sidebar, in the location list on the phone, and wherever a list covers more than one site. A location that has never chosen is given one, different from your other sites.
Go to Settings, then Location settings
- Pick the location in the sidebar.
- Open Settings, then Location settings. The first section is Icon and colour.
- Under Icon, press one of the sixteen icons, such as Pier, Flame, Fish or Loaf.
- Under Colour, press one of the eight colours. Hold the pointer over a colour to see its name and which of your other sites already use it.
- Each press saves by itself. It says Mark saved, and the example beside the choices shows the location as it will now appear next to your other sites.
Go back to the one it was given
The icon and the colour are chosen separately. One that has not been chosen is marked Default. To hand a choice back, press Reset beside that row; when both are back to the default it says Mark reset.
What happens next
The new mark shows for everyone straight away, on the web and on the phone. It changes nothing else about the location.
A new location’s mark is chosen on the first step of adding it; see Add a location.
If it doesn’t work
- There is no Icon and colour section
- You do not hold “Add locations and edit their settings” at this location.
- “Couldn’t save the mark”
- The choice did not save. Try again; the reason is on the line under the message.
