Confirm your induction steps

Tick the induction steps you have been shown, on the iPhone, so your record says you have seen each one.

Who can do this: Anyone on an induction track, for their own steps

On this page

An induction is a list of steps someone takes you through when you start. Once your trainer has marked a step as shown, the app asks you to confirm it yourself. It is the phone version of putting your initials on the induction sheet. This is done on the iPhone app only.

On the phone

  1. Open the Me tab and press Training. If you were sent an Induction steps to confirm notice, pressing it brings you here too.
  2. The induction training that has steps waiting is already open. Each step your trainer has shown you has a Confirm button beside it.
  3. Press Confirm on each step you have been shown. With more than one waiting, a card at the top says how many steps there are to confirm: press Confirm all to do them together.
  4. It says Steps confirmed, and each step now carries a Confirmed badge.

What happens next

Your manager sees Confirmed against the step on your record, where it said To confirm before. Confirming does not sign the step off and does not change its colour: that is still your trainer’s or supervisor’s to do. To see the rest of your record, read See your training.

If it doesn’t work

A step has no Confirm button
Your trainer has not marked it as shown yet, or it has been marked as not applying to you. Only steps on an induction track are confirmed; skills on other tracks never ask.
“Couldn’t save it” with “You’re offline”
The phone has no connection. Press Confirm again when you have signal.
“Still saving” with “It will save when you’re back in signal”
The connection is slow. You do not need to press again: it is sent when the signal is back.
