Finish your set-up as a new starter
See the lines of your onboarding checklist that are yours to do, when each is due, and tick them off on the iPhone.
If your restaurant keeps a checklist for new starters, some of its lines are yours. The iPhone app lists the ones you still have to do. Lines that belong to your manager are not shown to you.
On the phone
- Open the Me tab and, under My file, press Edit profile. A Finish your set-up notice in your inbox leads to the same screen.
- At the top, Finish your set-up lists your lines still to do, with a count. Under each is when it is due, such as “First shift · 3 Oct”. A late one is marked Overdue.
- A line with a box is yours to tick. Press the box when you have done it. It says Line ticked and the line leaves the list.
- A line with a Fill in key, or marked From your record, has no box to press. It ticks itself once the details it needs are on your record.Fill in opens the form that asks for them.
Lines that tick themselves
Bank and tax details, and your emergency contact, tick once you have given them. If they are still missing, press Fill in on the line: the phone asks for whatever your record does not have yet, a step at a time. The web asks for the same things on the page headed Welcome. See Sign in for the first time. “App set up” ticks as soon as you have your own sign-in.
What happens next
When nothing of yours is left, the Finish your set-up section disappears from your profile. Your manager sees the whole checklist, yours and theirs, on your record. If a stage passes with a line of yours undone, you get one reminder for it at 9am.
If it doesn’t work
- There is no “Finish your set-up” section
- You are on no checklist, or you have nothing left to do on it.
- A line will not tick
- It is one that follows your record. Give the details it is waiting for and it ticks.
- “Couldn’t save the tick”
- The tick did not reach the server. Check your signal and press the box again.
- You ticked a line by mistake
- You cannot take a tick back from this screen. Ask your manager: they can untick it on your record.
