Install Yes Chef on your computer
Put the web app on a computer or tablet as an app of its own, with its own window and icon, from Chrome, Edge or Safari.
On this page
The web app can be installed so that it opens in its own window from an icon, without a browser tab. It is the same app and the same sign-in. Nothing is downloaded from an app store.
In Chrome or Edge
- Sign in at app.yeschefhub.com. A banner across the top of the page says Install Yes Chef.
- Press Install on the banner. If you closed the banner earlier, press the download arrow at the top of the sidebar instead (Install app), or the install button at the end of the browser’s address bar.
- Confirm in the box the browser shows.
- It says App installed, and Yes Chef opens in a window of its own.
In Safari on a Mac
- Sign in at app.yeschefhub.com in Safari.
- In Safari’s menu bar, choose File, then Add to Dock.
In Safari on an iPad or iPhone
- Sign in at app.yeschefhub.com in Safari.
- Press the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
What happens next
Once it is installed the banner and the arrow in the sidebar go. To close the banner without installing, press the cross at its end. The banner stays away in that browser; the arrow in the sidebar stays for as long as the browser offers to install.
If it doesn’t work
- There is no banner and no arrow in the sidebar
- The browser is not offering to install. That is the case in Firefox, and in any browser where Yes Chef is already installed. In Safari there is never an arrow in the sidebar: use Safari’s own menu as above.
- You pressed Install and nothing was added
- You closed the browser’s box without confirming. Reload the page and look for the arrow at the top of the sidebar; it is there whenever the browser is offering to install.
