Today and Hub on the phone

The first tab on the iPhone is your home screen. It is called Today for most people. If you hold “See the manager dashboard” at the location, it is called Hub and shows the location’s day instead of your own.

Today: your own day

From the top, Today shows what applies to you and leaves out what does not.

• A greeting and the date, and a note for the day if your manager has written one.
• The clock-in button for the location you are looking at.
• Your shift: a card marked Now for the one you are on and Next for the one after. On a day off it says Not on today, and after your last shift Done for today.
• Meetings you are invited to, and time off: your own requests and how each went.
• The pre-shift briefing, when there is one.
• Your open tasks, the soonest three, and the prep list if you use it.
• Who else is on with you.
• While you are on shift, the checks that are open for it.

Hub: the location’s day

• Three figures at the top: Working, Checks (it reads Overdue when any are) and On time.
• Needs you: what is waiting on you, under Time off, Clock-ins and Open shifts. Press a row to deal with it.
• Checks: today’s checks, what is next and what was done last. All opens the Checks tab.
• On the floor: who is working now. Coming up: who is due in.
• This week: whether the week’s rota is Published, a Draft or there is No rota, with its Shifts and Hours. Labour is shown to people who may see pay.

If you work at more than one location, press the location’s name at the top of Hub to change it, or pick All locations. See Switch location.

The question about notifications

Until notifications are on for the app, the home screen brings up a sheet headed Notifications each time you open the app. Press Turn on, or Not now to put it off until next time. See Turn notifications on on your phone.
