Read the Home page on the web
What the two views of Home show, Numbers and Floor, who gets which, and how to change the period the figures cover.

Home is the first page of the web app. It greets you by name and says which location you are looking at. What is under that depends on what you may do.
The two views
If you hold “Build and edit the rota” at the location, a switch at the top right of the page has two sides: Numbers and Floor. The page opens on the one you used last in this browser. Everyone else has the Floor view and no switch.
Numbers: money in and money out
Two columns, Money in and Money out. Each figure is coloured by how it is doing against what it is measured by. Pressing a figure opens the page it comes from.
- The period. Press Today, This week, This month or This year. The arrows either side of the dates step back and forward a period at a time. Press the dates themselves to pick your own stretch of days.
- What it is compared with. The button after the dates says what the figures are held against. Press it to choose: Auto uses last year where the location has one and the stretch before where it has not, or pick Custom and give a start date.
- The order. Worst first puts the figures that are doing badly at the top. Best first turns it round.
With All locations picked in the sidebar, the figures are added up over every location whose rota you build.
Floor: what needs running today
With one location picked, the Floor view shows, for the parts of the app the location uses:
- Four tiles: On duty, Shifts today, Checks due and Compliance.
- Live floor: who is working now, and who is Coming up.
- This week: the week’s rota, with its hours and the number of staff on it. The week’s labour cost is added for people who may see pay.
- Action required, when clock-ins or shift requests are waiting on a manager, or All clear when nothing is.
With All locations picked, it shows Locations, Total shifts, Total hours and Published, then a card for each location.
A link is drawn only to a page you may open. Where a page is not yours, the figure stays and the link does not. A draft rota is not shown to anyone who cannot build the rota.
Time off at the top
Above either view, Home shows time-off requests waiting on you to approve, if you approve them, and a card headed Your time off for your own requests. It is not there when there is nothing to show. See Approve time off.
If it doesn’t work
- There is no Numbers and Floor switch
- You do not hold “Build and edit the rota” at the location picked. An Admin can switch it on for a Supervisor or a manager; it cannot be given to an Employee.
- “Nothing on the home yet”
- The location has neither Rota & Team nor Checks switched on, so Home has nothing of its own to show for it.
- The sales figures are empty
- Sales come from the till. They are there once the location’s till is connected.
