See which equipment is due a service

Read the equipment list for what is overdue, due soon or in date, on the web or on the iPhone.

Who can do this: Supervisors, Location Managers and Admins by default (the “Manage equipment and service records” permission). An Employee can be given it.

On this page

Yes Chef works out a piece’s next service from two things you give it: the date it was last serviced and the number of days between services. It shows when that date is; it does not book anything.

What the badges mean

  • Overdue: the next service date has passed. The badge counts the days, for example “Overdue 12d”.
  • Due soon: the next service is within 30 days. The badge counts down, for example “Due 9d”.
  • Never serviced: it has a service interval and no service on record.
  • In date: the next service is more than 30 days away.
  • No schedule: no service interval has been set, so nothing is counted.

On the web

Go to Checks, then Equipment

  1. Pick the location. The list is grouped by station, and a group’s heading says how many of its pieces are overdue.
  2. Read the Service badge on each row, with Next service and Last serviced beside it. Sort or filter by Service to bring the overdue ones together.
  3. Click a row for the piece’s own page: Next service at the top, then Service history.

On the phone

  1. Open Checks and scroll to Registers at the foot, or open Me. Press Equipment. The row already says how things stand, for example “2 overdue” or “Nothing overdue”.
  2. The three counts at the top are Overdue, Due soon and In date. Press one to see only those pieces. What most needs a look is listed first.
  3. Press a piece to open it: how its servicing stands, its Service history, its Repairs, and the open tasks about it.

What happens next

When the engineer has been, log the service. That moves the next service date on.

If it doesn’t work

A piece that needs servicing has no badge
It has no service interval. Open it on the web, press Edit and fill in Service interval (days).
On the phone: “Equipment is for whoever manages it at this location.”
You do not have the “Manage equipment and service records” permission at the location you have switched to.
There is no Equipment row on the phone
The row is shown only to people with that permission, at the location the phone is showing.
