Change a repair or add its invoice
Fill in a repair’s cost when the bill comes, attach or take off an invoice, correct the details, or remove the repair.
On this page
A repair that has been recorded is changed on the web. On the iPhone you can add a repair and see a piece’s repairs, but not change them.
On the web
Go to Checks, then Repairs
- Find the repair. Cost to come above the table shows only repairs with no cost yet, and No invoice only those with nothing attached.
- Click its row. The repair opens in a panel at the side: what it was, the day, the equipment, who did it, the cost, who recorded it, and its invoices.
Add the cost, or correct a detail
- In the panel, press Change. The form is headed Change repair.
- Type the Cost, or change anything else.
- Press Save. It says Repair changed.
Add or take off an invoice
- In the panel, under Invoices, press Add invoice and choose the file, or drop it there. It says Invoice added.
- Click an invoice to open it in a new tab.
- To take one off, press the bin beside it. It says Invoice removed.
Remove a repair
In the panel, press Remove. It says Repair removed, and the repair leaves the list and every total. If that was a mistake, press Undo, above the table. It says Undone and the repair is back. The same Undo takes back the last change you made to a repair.
What the cost adds up to
The foot of the Cost column is the total of the repairs on show, so filter the table to add up one piece of equipment or one supplier. A repair with no cost yet counts for nothing. The table’s export saves the list as a file.
To record a new one, see Record a repair.
If it doesn’t work
- “Not yours to see.”
- You do not have the “Manage equipment and service records” permission at this location.
- “Up to 4 invoices”
- A repair keeps four files at most. Take one off before adding another.
- “A photo or a PDF” or “Files up to 10 MB”
- The file is the wrong kind or too big. Photograph the invoice, or save it as a PDF.
- The Undo button has gone
- Undo is offered for the last thing you did on this page. After you do something else, or leave the page, record the repair again instead.
