See your own tasks

Find every open task with your name on it, across all boards, soonest due first, on the web and on the iPhone.

Who can do this: Everyone by default (the “See task boards, add tasks and comment” permission).

Your tasks are the open ones assigned to you, whichever board they sit on. That includes a task on a board you cannot otherwise see, such as a managers’ board.

On the web

Go to Tasks, then My tasks

  1. The page lists your open tasks under Open, soonest due first. The line above the table counts them, for example “6 open · 1 overdue · 2 today”.
  2. Each row has the task, its Board and List, when it is Due, and how far through its Checklist it is.
  3. Type in Search tasks to find one. Press a row to open the task in a panel at the side. Press the board’s name to go to the board.

The number beside My tasks in the sidebar is how many of your tasks are due today or overdue.

On the phone

  1. Open Today (Hub for supervisors and managers). While you have open tasks, a Tasks block shows the three due soonest. Press All for the rest.
  2. Or open Me, then Tasks. The row tells you how you stand before you open it, for example “3 open · 1 overdue”, or Nothing open.
  3. Your tasks are at the top under My tasks, each with its board and list. Use Find one of my tasks to search. Press a task to open it.

Reading the due day

  • Red: the due day has passed.
  • Amber: it is due today.
  • Marked: it is due within the next three days.
  • A task marked Urgent says so beside its title.

When nothing is open on you, the web page says All done, and so does the phone’s My tasks section. To clear one, see Tick a task done.

If it doesn’t work

A task you know is yours is missing
Only open tasks assigned to you are listed. Check that your name is on it (see Assign a task), that it has not been ticked done or archived, and that its board has not been archived. Tasks on an archived board leave this list until the board is restored.
The board’s name is not a link, or the open task has no Board row
The task is on a board you cannot see. You can still open the task, work on it and tick it.
There is no Tasks block on Today
It is shown only while at least one open task is assigned to you.
