Set a due day on a task
Give a task the day it has to be done by, mark it urgent, and know when Yes Chef will remind the people on it.
A task is due on a day, not at a time. The day is read where the board’s location is.
On the web
Go to Tasks, then Boards
- Open the board and press the task’s card.
- Under Due, press the date field. It reads No day until one is set.
- Pick the day. It says Due day set.
To take the day off, press the cross beside the date. It says Due day removed.
On the phone
- Open Me, then Tasks, and open the task.
- Press the Due row.
- Press Today, Tomorrow or In a week. For any other day, turn the date wheel and press Set.
To take the day off, open Due again and press Clear. It says Due day cleared.
What the due day does
- The card and the task show the day: “Today”, “Tomorrow”, or a date such as “14 Oct”. It turns amber on the day and red once the day has passed. A day within the next three days is marked.
- A board shows how many of its open tasks are overdue and due today, and so does My tasks.
- At 9 in the morning on the due day, at the board’s location, the people on the task are reminded: “Due today”.
- At 9 the morning after, if it is still open, they are reminded once more that it is overdue.
Mark a task urgent
In the open task, switch on Urgent. It says Marked urgent, and the card carries an Urgent mark wherever it is shown. Urgent does not send anything by itself or move the task; it is there to be seen.
If it doesn’t work
- Nobody was reminded
- Reminders go only to people assigned to the task, once on the due day and once the day after. They are not sent for a task that is done or archived, or one on an archived board. A due day set after 9 in the morning for that same day has missed that day’s reminder.
- The day is not coloured although it has passed
- A done task does not show as overdue.
